Dr. Mick McConnell

Your Nampa Chiropractor

My wife Robyn and I own Dream Body Fitness and met Mick around January of 2013 when he was introduced to our facility through Chris Carpenter. I was excited that I finally met a chiropractor that was physically fit and promoted fitness! As a weight lifter I sustain regular aches and pains and some that had nagged me for years. It was only until I had Mick work on my problem areas did I feel them start to subside and finally go away! I have since destroyed many fitness plateaus and I thank Mick for that. His work with the muscles was very different form most places where you just get cracked then go, and it was amazing! Mick also helped my wife overcome what we had thought was carpel tunnel but turned out to be something else entirely and is now gone. If you are an active person I HIGHLY recommend Balanced Movement Chiropractic, it is the only place I will send my training clients! Thank you Mick and staff for everything!

Hi have been a fitness enthusiast for the better part of 16yrs and lead a very active life style. I’ve been a certified a personal trainer and I’m currently a Crossfit Level 1 Trainer. I have spent a better part of those 16yrs managing a chronic low back problem that would flare up two to three times a year leaving me out of commission for several weeks at a time. I’ve been treated by over five different chiropractors for my back problem and each one of them treated me with the same protocol which was adjustments three times a week for four weeks with fewer weekly adjustments as my back condition got better. In the fall of 2013 I was going through another back episode that was so bad I had to receive a steroid injection. I was fed up and stopped going to the chiropractor all together. After I had recovered and was back to 100% I was determined not to go back to a chiropractor until my back started to hurt again in the spring of 2014. I was thoughtfully introduced to Dr. McConnell and reluctantly went to my first visit expecting the same routine. To my surprise my first visit was not the same old routine I had come to expect and did not even involve an adjustment. Dr. McConnell individualized my treatment with a combination of techniques all with the goal of keeping me active and providing me with the tools to maintain my back health. I always recommend Balanced Movement to anyone seeking relief from chronic back pain or other injuries that affect their day to day quality of life.

Balanced Movement Chiropractic was exceptional in assisting me in preparing for a world athletic event September 2014, Masters World Championship Highland Games. Plagued with serious neck, back, rib and groin injuries due to strenuous training. I was treated very professionally, applied the recommended corrective exercises, and with Rocktape applied before competition I was able to compete at my best. Without there help the results would have been much different. Placing 3rd in the Caber Toss was way beyond my wildest dreams and I thank Dr. Mick McConnell and his staff
for all of what they did.

Dr. Papantonio has been a huge help in my training, whether it be day to
day workouts or getting ready to compete. I know the treatment that I
receive allows me to train harder and recover faster. After an intense
training session it is comforting to know that I can count on Dr. Marc to
work on any tight or achy muscles and joints.

I used to think chiropractors were useless. I wouldn’t have gone to a chiropractor for anything. Then life threw me a curveball. I developed a chronic shoulder injury from biking and suffered for years with nerve pain and headaches stemming from this injury. I finally went looking for relief.
After numerous trips to physical therapists, sports medicine clinics, massage therapists, and acupuncture, I went to see Dr. Marc Papantonio. In just a few sessions, I was pain-free and have continued to stay that way with occasional “tune-ups.” Dr. Marc really knows his stuff. He is also very kind, caring, professional, and loved talking football with me. He is the very best you will ever find!

I started seeing Dr. Marc Papantonio for some muscle pain in my lower back. He quickly diagnosed the problem to my hip and surrounding muscles. Dr. Papantonio fixed my muscle pain within a few visits. I have been pain free for a few months now, am able to train harder than ever and feel great! Dr. Marc is very knowledgeable and is dedicated to all his patients. I would recommend him to any person that is involved in sports and who is in pain and needs help.

My first experience with Dr. Papantonio was much more than I expected. From the second I walked in the door he was happy to answer any questions I had, even in the middle of important paperwork. His inviting attitude is why I decided to see him for my chiropractic work. As a Crossfit coach and current employee for the USFS working in the wilderness, I am familiar with mobility and the importance it has on maintaining a good functioning body under a heavy training schedule. I initially sought out Dr. Papantonio because I was having difficulty breathing due to what I thought was a rib out of place from my 50lb backpacking pack. When I received my first ART treatment and adjustment I was shocked at how much better I felt. The range of motion in my neck and the restriction I felt in my chest due to my rib was significantly better. Dr. Papantonio was always understanding and supportive of my active lifestyle and invested in helping me get back to 100%. After only a couple of weeks I was breathing normally and I could turn my head without pain. With the ability to turn my head and breathe normally I started to excel with my strength training and could hike in the wilderness without pain from my large pack. I would highly recommend Dr. Papantonio to anyone looking to improve their mobility and relieve any pain associated with musculoskeletal issues.

Dr. Marc has helped my life become more comfortable. Before meeting Dr.Marc I would wake up sore and did not look forward to the next practice. However, after just a couple visits I felt like a new person. Thankfully my senior season was pain free - it was the first season I did not suffer any
injuries that kept me off the field. I owe it all to Dr. Marc and his techniques, as well as his advice. I would highly recommend Dr. Marc to anyone who wants to improve their mobility game, overcome injuries and live a more comfortable life.

"Dr. Marc's A.R.T. treatments - and encouragement - were a saving grace in prepping for my first marathon. At 52, I had serious concerns about training that distance without injuring. My goal was to finish - happy and healthy. At week 10, I was dealing with some knee pain, which exacerbated my worries, since I still had 8 weeks of hard running in front of me. That's when I met Marc. He treated me for supra patellar bursitis, working on my quad area and IT band. He also taped me (kinesiotape) every week before my long run. It was awesome I didn't miss a single run due to injury and had a blast with the marathon. After 2 weeks rest, I was back to my normal running routine. I can't thank Dr. Marc enough for his quality, supportive treatment. He rocks!"
